Rabies
Responsibilities
The Agency regulates rabies in the County through:
  • Oversight of the rabies control program
  • Investigating animal bites in accordance with rabies protocols
  • Overseeing animal confinements
  • Providing rabies testing through the Albany Regional Public Health Laboratory when indicated
