The Work Session Meeting has been cancelled for Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 9:00 AM. The next meeting of the Sumter County Board of Commissioners will be on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM.


Observance of Good Friday Holiday

The offices of the Sumter County Courthouse will close in observance of Good Friday Holiday on Friday, April 2, 2010. The offices of the Sumter County Courthouse will reopen for business on Monday, April 3, 2010, during regular business hours.



Observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The offices of the Sumter County Courthouse will close in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 18, 2010. The offices of the Sumter County Courthouse will reopen for business on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, during regular business hours.


The Sumter County Board of Commissioners will be having a special called meeting on today, Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the Commissioners’ Board Room at 605 Spring Street, Americus, Georgia. The meeting will be to discuss fire services for the county and any other items brought properly before the Board.
